I have been doing a website redesign and update for the first time in a long time. We started this site back in 2016 for Korean and Japanese recipes back when we were still living in Korea. The move back to Texas, running our bakery cafe, Three Egg Muffins (2021~2025), and other ventures has left this site largely untended. (We still take the odd catering order. So, if you like savory muffins or other bakery items, please visit the link above).
Recipe Categories
I have moved recipes to their own category and page. Before, they were all regular WordPress posts, which makes organizing and separating difficult. I hope the more I work on it, the better organized it appears. Right now, I have recipes separated between Korean and Japanese dishes, main dishes, desserts and street food. Once I get more recipes published, I’ll refine the categories.
Cooking Classes
The classes page is also getting updated and I hope to have booking available, so you can book directly with us, rather than the third-party site we’ve been using. If you’re in, or visiting, the Dallas area, we have classes at our Plano home, which is about 20 minutes north of the city of Dallas. We also do classes further north in Frisco.
Videos on YouTube
We have started putting out YouTube Shorts for quick recipes and processes, especially for our past cooking class participants. I’ve added embedded videos to past recipes, updating processes that we’ve improved over the past. As far as the videos, I found I spent way too much time on production, which was draining and, quite frankly, pointless. A cool intro and production quality may have been great when I started doing video and animation production nearly 30 years ago, but today, not so much.
I hope to bring back logins and commenting, which I disabled to deal with the unfortunate spam. If anyone has comments, questions, ideas or encouragement on the website redesign, feel free to email us.
